The second-annual World Series of Mahjong will be held from September 19-21, 2008. This tournament will offer cash prize of US$1,000,000, and $500,000 for the first prize winner. The fees to join the tournament is US$5,000 this year. Registration begins on the 18th April. The top 100 person to register will receive a MOP$5000 hotel room voucher from Wynn Macau.

第二屆「世界麻將大賽」將於9月在澳門永利酒店舉行，4月18日起接受報名。主辦單位世界競賽管理有限公司在記者會上說提到一連三天的世界級麻將冠軍挑戰賽將於今年9月19日至22日舉行。賽事入場費用為5千美元，大賽總獎金高達100萬美元，是全球麻將史上最高金額的大賽獎金。冠軍將可獨得獎金50萬美元，估計可吸引1000人報名。今年前100名報名者將可獨家獲得永利澳門酒店住宿券價值$5,000澳門幣。
