NAAM launches a series of refreshing bento set lunch menus starting from May.

Each bento set lunch holds five dishes including daily soup, entrée, side dishes, main course, all accompanied by a thirst-quenching herbal drink. The Thai Bento Set Lunch, priced at MOP$180, is available from Tuesday to Friday from 12 noon to 2.30 pm

Executive Thai Chef Chatsorn Pratoomma has introduced two signature dishes for the season, “Pomelo Salad with Grilled Prawn”, a traditional Thai salad; and the renowned “Pla Nueng Sa Moon Plai (steamed fish with assorted Thai herbs). Both feature the chef’s secret seasoning and are excellent summertime dishes.

Born and educated in Thailand, Executive Thai Chef Chatsorn Pratoomma (commonly known asChef Sorn) brings to NAAM extensive culinary experience gained from major international hotels and restaurants in Thailand since 1998. Most recently she worked for renowned hotel in Bangkok for six years before joining Grand Lapa, Macau.

The Thai community in Macau gathered together on Saturday snd Sunday (5th and 6th December) to mark the 82nd birthday anniversary of Thailand’s King Bhumibol Adulyadej, at the Horta da Mitra-Tap Seac neighbourhood long-dubbed ‘little Bangkok’ for its many Thai restaurants and groceries.

The festival was celebrated with a street-festival of dance, music and food, including traditional medicine and massage.

King Bhumibol is the world’s longest-reigning monarch, he is also regarded as probably the most beloved one by the Thai people, and highly revered by the public. King Bhumibol is also protected by the Constitution as "inviolable".


“泰國文化節”系列活動將於12月5日、6日周六、日一連兩天舉行, 藉以慶祝泰皇壽辰。 活動獲澳門基金會、民署贊助，由泰國駐港澳總領事館協辦。 以泰國文化、美食為主軸, 在有“小曼谷”之稱的沿荷蘭園二馬路設泰式美食、手工藝及特色禮品攤位, 並安排充滿泰國風情的泰國傳統民族舞、古典劍術、搖滾樂隊、泰拳表演, 讓參與人士感受熱鬧節慶氣氛, 加深了解泰國的美食與文化。

The Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) & Muay Thai Grand Extreme is the first major-scale martial arts event offered by City of Dreams, which joined Kontact and I-1 Official in bringing this event to Macau was held at the Grand Ballroom, Grand Hyatt Macau at
City of Dreams on November 7, 2009. An excited crowd of spectators turned up to enjoy actions from four MMA matches, three Muay Thai Super Fights, three Muay Thai Asian Championship (4-man elimination tournament) and one K-1 Asian Championship.

Tum Mardsue of Thailand gave his best and defeated 1st runner-up Vuyisile Colossa to win the championship, earning the honor to participate in The King’s Cup Super-8 2009 in Thailand next month.

Thailand's Thaworn Wiratchant claimed his 11th Asian Tour victory, with a commanding six-shot triumph in Macau at the US $500,000-dollar full-field event at the Macau Golf and Country Club.

Thaworn charged home with a closing three-under-par for a four-day total of 15-under-par 269 to India's Gaganjeet Bhullar, who added the growing reputation as the rising star in Asian golf. Gaganjeet Bhullar powered his way to a final round 66 to finish in second place on 275, behind the seasoned veteran Thaworn Wiratchant. Matthew Griffin from Australia surged up the leaderboard with an eagle on the second hole to share third place with South African Keith Horne on 278. Taiwan's Lin Wen-hong and Yoshinobu Tsukada of Japan ended their campaign in fifth position on 279.

Thaworn Wiratchant victory left him one title short of equaling the Asian Tour record of 12 career wins, set by his compatriot Thongchai Jaidee, but the 42-year-old said he was confident of overtaking his countryman.
