Viva Macau Airlines will open a direct route to Hanoi to celebrate the Tet (Vietnamese new year) holiday and offer special off-peak fares on the occasion. The service will commence from 13 February with three flights weekly on every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

The airline is offering special off-peak fares from US$25 one way on economy class on the route while business class tickets are also available from $199 one way, excluding taxes and surcharges.

Hanoi is the capital and second-largest city of Vietnam, located on the right bank of the Red River and 1,760 km north of Ho Chi Minh City. It is a fascinating city with a mixed culture from the East and West. Because of centuries of influence from China as well as colonial occupation by France, its buildings and history are full of Chinese and French cultures. Presently, Hanoi is undergoing a fast pace of modernization and economic growth, and the city is the “rising star” in Southeast Asia.

In October 2010, Hanoi City will officially mark the 1000 years of the establishment.

Viva Macau, which began its Vietnam operations with a flight to Ho Chi Minh City two years ago with four flights a week. The airline also operates flights to Japan, Australia, Indonesia and mainland China.

Viva Macau will operate two flights per week between Macau and the Japanese city of Sapporo, starting from December 19. This represents the second destination of the operator to Japan, after Tokyo.

Viva Macau will fly to Sapporo every Tuesday and Saturday.

Sapporo is the capital of Hokkaidō Prefecture. It is best known for the annual Yuki Matsuri in the city, internationally referred to as the Sapporo Snow Festival, which draws more than 2 million tourists from around the world.

Viva Macau Airlines announces direct Macau - Melbourne direct flights to commence from 9th December 2009. The new Viva Macau low fare Economy and Premium Class flights between Macau and Melbourne will depart Macau at 20:15 and 10:15 arriving in Melbourne at 8:45 and 19:10. Flights from Melbourne will depart at 9:45 and 23:30 arriving in Macau at 22:30 and 6:00.

In an anticipation of the rising number of visitors, Viva Macau has announced plans to increase its flight frequency. The airline decided to increase the number of flights it operates on the Tokyo (Narita) - Macau route from 2 to 4 flights per week, starting from September 16, 2009.

Viva Macau flight will depart from Tokyo on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 9pm. The flight will arrive in Macau Airport after the midnight at local time. The return flight will depart from Macau Airport at 2:30pm and will arrive in Tokyo at night 7:45pm.

This new schedule is a response to the steady growth of passenger traffic between Macau and Japan, further strengthening its network between both places.

Viva Macau has added more flights to its Tokyo, Jakarta, and Sydney routes, plus a new charter service to Okinawa. The new twice-weekly service to Okinawa will be start in June.

Flights from Macau to Tokyo will be increased from two to four times a week, Jakarta from four to five times a week, and Sydney from three to four times a week starting in July. The additional flights and Okinawa charter service would further strengthen Macau's connectivity to the world.

Organized by Japan’s Panorama International, DJ Ozma and touring show group Club Royale arrived Macau on 20th September for the first concert by a major Japanese pop artist held in Macau.

Approximately 250 fans, arriving together with the Club Royale band of singers, dancers, actors and comedians from Tokyo, flew to Macau on Viva Macau’s Narita-Macau direct flight on Saturday September 20. A gala dinner and private concert performance were hosted in the Venetian Macau ballrooms.

Viva Macau has disclosed plans to increase flights from Macau to HCM City in Vietnam. The carrier expected to fly between HCM City and Macau daily by the end of 2008 when the airline had more aircraft. Since Viva Macau launched direct service between Macau and Vietnam, the number of Vietnamese visitors to Macau had gained double-digit growth.

Viva Macau now operates 4 weekly HCM City-Macau flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
