Sociedade de Jogos de Macau (SJM) will inaugurates their newest casino - Oceanus, on the 15 of December at Jai Alai. The casino will formally open to the public at 8pm.

The casino comprises of 260 tables and 560 slot machines, in a total area of 32000 square meters of gaming space over three floors, goes to occupy the area of the former site of "New Yaohan" department store. A range of food and beverage outlets and retail shops will be located within the property.

Casino Oceanus - designed by the renowned casino architect, Paul Steelman. Its interior is decorated in cool blue colours combined with warm reds, oranges and greens meant to be redolent of the sea and corals. The building’s façade gives the visual impression of being enveloped in multi-coloured bubbles.


澳門博彩股份有限公司旗下的回力海立方娛樂場（「海立方」）將於12月15日隆重開幕。 娛樂場將於當天晚上8時正式向公眾開放。

海立方位於澳門外港客運碼頭對面, 由有蓋天橋連接。 三層合共3萬2千多平方米的博彩大樓設有超過260張賭枱及超過560台角子機。 作為澳門最新的地標, 海立方的外牆由不規則的氣枕膜結構嵌套而成, 好像是給許多五彩繽紛的泡泡包裹著, 組成簡潔自然的幾何圖案。 娛樂場是由設計師Paul Steelman負責室內設計。 內部的主題顏色為酷藍色, 配以溫暖的紅色、橙色和綠色, 予人置身海洋的感覺。

SJM to invest project worth MOP $18.7 billion over the next four years in Macau 澳博未來4年投資187億發展/重建數個項目 (澳博未来4年投资187亿发展/重建数个项目)

SJM Holdings - owned by Stanley Ho is planning to spend MOP$21 billion developing casino projects in Macau over the next four years, including the redevelopment of the Lisboa Hotel Complex and the starting of a number of new casino projects.

SJM is bringing MOP$12 billion investment to redevelop the original Lisboa hotel site, with construction expected to take place from next year to 2012. L'Hermitage, a casino which target on richer clients, due to be completed in the third quarter of 2008. Another project called L'Arc (Le Royal Arc) casino locate inside a residential tower opposite the Lisboa - Le Royal Arch Tower, the casino will include a boutique members' club casino with 32 VIP gaming tables. It is expected to complete at the beginning of next year.

There are also plans for two developments on the Cotai strip, one to be completed in 2010 and the other to be finished in 2012. One of this development plan at Cotai Strip is the MOP$5.3 billion casino hotel called the Pearl which included entertainment, conventional center, hotel and service apartment all within inside the complex. The Pearl is located in a small 100,000 sq ft site across the street of Venetian Macau.

The original site of the New Yaohan Department Store will turn into a mass-market casino, the site was purposed for the development of Oceanus project previously. Further information will be realise soon.

Oceanus Project Cancelled 海神綜合中心項目計劃取消 (海神综合中心项目计划取消)

Stanley Ho decide not to construct the Oceanus project. It will be a replace by a smaller scale development, and this will not be affect by the government announcement of a freeze on new casinos since the application for the new development has already been submitted with the government.

“I Stanley Ho will not agree with the Oceanus project, I think too big, too much, we can not operate such a huge project involving so many factors,” Stanley Ho said.

“It may be a good idea from the start but it doesn't work, I am giving up this project and I think the government is supporting me 100 percent.”

The current site of Jai Alai casino and New Yaohan department store will be redevelop shortly, and construction expected to begin as early as June when the New Yaohan move to the new site near Nam Van Lake.

Macau SJM will invest 6.2 billion HKD on building an entertainment center in the current site of New Yaohan. The project includes two towers with hotel, office, apartment, shopping and entertainment centers which is design by Paul Andreu. It will become the landmark of Macau waterfront area once the project completed. Construction begin within 12 months once the demolition of the Current New Yaohan complete and the whole complex is estimate to complete by 2009.

澳門博彩股份有限公司行政總裁何鴻燊公布耗 資六十二億港元，在外港碼頭興建 一座面 向大海的大型綜合中心。項目佔地四萬七千平方米，由東望洋山延伸至外港碼頭，由外港碼頭伸展至八佰伴及回力場一帶，需要填海達二萬六千平方米。項目名為OCEANUS，由法國著名建築師保羅安德魯(Paul Andreu)設計。保羅安德魯表示，這個項目非常具挑戰性，有許多外圍因素需要協調，例如如何在興建時不影響區內的交通，及成為地標之餘，又不破壞其他建築物的外圍景觀。

這個綜合大型中心分三個部分，由一個長形的主體建築、兩層高建築物和一百八十米高的獨立大樓組成。要興建這個大型綜合中心，需要清拆現址的八佰伴和回力場。建成後，大型綜 合中心將會包括多元化服務，集合服務式住宅、酒店、寫字樓、購物、賭場、消閒娛樂等於一身的綜合中心，希望可以吸引本地居民及外國遊客。

何鴻燊表 示, 稍後還要與澳門政府商討地價的問題，他們希望項目會成為澳門地標，配合澳門國際 化、都市 化及現代化的發展。他亦有信心，要向銀行融資絕對沒問題，「我們會與工務局商量，因為主要要填海。至於新八佰伴方面補地價的問題，其實都是我們的，即是左 袋入右袋，無咩所謂。
