The 2009 Miss Macau pageant was held on the 17th October at the Venetian Macau. This year, the pageant was again broadcasted live by Teledifusao de Macau (TDM) and aired to Hong Kong by TVB Jade and HD Jade. A variety of unique performances were performed by the 10 contestants competed in the evening event. However, only 6 contestants went through to the second round, these contestants then had to go through judges questions and decided who will stay in the top 3.

At the end, Laura Li was crowned this year's Miss Macau. She is also expected to represent Macau and participate in the Miss International 2009 pageant. Australian-born Miss Macau 2009 competitor Sarah Leyshan, was elected 2nd and the new Miss Friendship. 3rd place went to Joyce Huang - who was once being considered a potential winner.

2009澳門小姐選舉10月17日晚於澳門威尼斯人度假村酒店舉行, 由香港無線電視（TVB）製作, 澳門電視台即時轉播。 司儀陣容由崔建邦搭配方力申, 另一司儀由去年香港小姐亞軍陳倩揚擔任。

十位佳麗通過自我介紹、賽車服、泳裝三大環節考驗。 經過兩個小時的激烈角逐, 競賽最後選出一號黃斯敏、二號凌慕媛、五號冼韻怡、八號李雪娜、九號陳轉梅及十號李若瀅晉入六強爭奪后冠寶座。 最終由表現淡定的10號李若瀅勝出。 冠軍10號李若瀅雖然賽前沒被看高一線, 但她全晚表現信心十足, 笑容滿臉。 無論是現代舞比拼還是才藝比拼及答問環節, 都穩定發揮, 絕無緊張表現。 未來一年她將代表澳門肩負宣傳澳門的責任。 亞軍兼友誼小姐李雪娜既開心又興奮, 認為自己在台上信心十足。 賽前大熱門、最後獲季軍的一號黃斯敏認為輸在對手強勁, 加上臨場表現緊張、失準，故失去頗多分數。

The finalists were announced at a press conference held at the Venetian on the 29th September. Only 10 of the most talented and beautiful were selected out of the 20 contestants at the trials. These ten young women went to work immediately for their first press conference, where they presented and posed gracefully in front of the photographers and video cameras with confidence and poise.


2009澳門小姐10月17日在威尼斯人金光綜藝館舉行。 10位候選佳麗將角逐澳門小姐榮銜。 主辦單位9月29日在威尼斯人舉行記者會, 安排10位候選佳麗以最優美姿態首次與傳媒會晤, 特別邀得2008年澳門小姐冠軍呂蓉茵、亞軍關安娜、季軍伍家怡及友誼小組陳小玉分享參選經驗及心得。 10位佳麗大部分是應屆畢業生或現職大學生, 其餘為兼職模特兒、電視節目主持、文員及公關經理。 年齡由21至25五歲。

2009 Miss Macau will take place at Venetian next month - 2009澳門小姐選舉下月舉行 (2009澳门小姐选举下月举行)

Organised by G&L Group and S.I. Promotions, supported by the Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO) and CellCast. This year the Miss Macau final pageant will take place again at the Venetian’s Cotai Arena on October 17. Candidate applications were closed on the 19th September, the organiser is currently going to select just ten to go through to the final stage of the pageant.

Miss Macau 2008 Florence Loi and Anna Kuan Barroso, 1st Runner-up, Cherry Ng - 2nd Runner-up of Miss Macau 2008, with Vanessa Chan were presented during the presentation of Miss Macau 2009 pageant held on the 22nd September.

This edition of Miss Macau pageant's grand final will be broadcasted live on TDM and produced by Hong Kong’s TVB, who will also broadcast the pageant in Hong Kong.


“澳門小姐選舉2009”於澳門威尼斯人度假村舉行發布會。 今屆選美將於10月17日晚在路氹城威尼斯人渡假村舉行, 今屆共吸引約一百人參加。 經主辦單位篩選後, 經初選選出二十人。 大會將再面試, 決賽當晚將有十位佳麗角逐冠軍寶座。 今屆澳門小姐已於本月十九日截止報名。 今年的得獎佳麗將會代表澳門參加國際小姐、國際中華小姐及其他國際性選美盛事。

記者會上，應屆港姐李姿敏、熊穎詩、袁嘉敏、黃嘉麗及2008港姐冠軍陳倩揚, 聯同2008澳門小姐冠軍呂蓉茵、亞軍關安娜、季軍伍家怡及「友誼小姐」陳小玉等分別分享其參賽經驗, 認為參賽過程最重要是笑容和輕鬆面對, 可將評判當作是朋友, 這樣就可減少緊張。 澳門旅遊局副相信本屆澳門小姐能再次將國際焦點聚焦澳門, 希望候選佳麗展現澳門女性氣質。

2008澳門小姐冠軍呂蓉茵表示, 過去一年當選體驗既難得又享受，在親善活動和國際選美中接觸到不少人，學到很多東西，包括待人處事態度等，獲益良多。過去一年亦見證了澳門另一個美麗傳說，希望今屆佳麗可繼續推廣。

The 2009 Supermodel of the World Contest (China Region) will be held in Macau this coming May. A total of 42 contestants will participate in this contest and the winners will take part in the finals representing China region.

Supermodel of the World is the biggest modeling contest in the world. Established by Eileen Ford in 1980, it searches the pre-eminent female model in over 50 countries to find fashion's newest faces year after year.

第20屆世界超級模特環球大賽 - 2009中國總決賽定於5月在澳門舉行, 經過3個月的篩選和培訓, 屆時將有來自全國不多於42名模特代表所在省市參加全國總決賽, 角逐中國美皇后桂冠和“中國十大超模”稱號。 奪冠的模特兒將代表中國參加在11月舉行的世界超級模特環球大賽。 42名模特將於5月4日至8日來澳門參加一連5天的外景拍攝和大型頒獎晚會, 並角逐中國美皇后桂冠和“中國十大超模”稱號。

世界超級模特環球大賽是由世界模特組織機構創辦, 是全球最具專業和權威的世界級模特賽事之一。 大賽自2005年落地中國以來先後在廣東、江西、四川、湖北、香港及澳門等地成功舉辦。

今年大賽舉辦地有5個旅遊城市申辦, 經過多次會議權衡, 第20屆世界超級模特環球大賽中國總決賽選擇在澳門舉行, 希望藉此提升澳門歷史文化遺産名城在國際的知名度。 主辦單位將舉辦慈善會募集善款捐給四川災區同胞作重建家園之用。

The 18 year old Alejandra Andreu from Spain bested 62 other contestants from around the world, to become the new 48th Miss International. She was crowned by the last year's Miss International, Priscilla Perales of Mexico. Alejandra Andreu finished in 3rd place at the Miss Spain pageant last March. She became one of the youngest winners in Miss International history and also won a special award of Miss Photogenic at this pageant. This marked the third Miss International crown for Spain.

In a spectacular two and a half hour show held at the Venetian Resort, a variety of unique performances were performed by the 63 contestants competed in the evening event.

During the first phase of the pageant, contestants were introduced in their national costumes. All the contestants worn different costumes which represented the uniqueness and cultures of their home countries and regions.

The second portion of the competition was the swimsuit parade, in which contestants worn only swimwear and high-heeled shoes.

After that, the Top 12 semi-finalists were announced in alphabetical order. The 12 finalists took part in the dance on the stage, and this performance were counted as part of the final score.

The last phase of the pageant was the question and answer portiion. The 12 finalist dress in traditional Chinese costume 'Qi Pao' and delivered their final speech before the announcement of the winner was made.

全球三大選美會之一的第48届國際小姐11月8日晚在澳門威尼斯人金光綜藝館舉行。 經過激烈角逐, 第48屆國際小姐結果由51號, 現年18歲, 賽前大熱的西班牙佳麗Alejandra Andreu脫穎而出。 登上冠軍寶座兼更獲選奪最上鏡小姐, 雙料冠軍。

一衆佳麗先以所屬國家或地區民族服裝出場及作自我介紹, 澳門小姐呂蓉茵穿上粵劇戲服形象示人。 會場亦不乏其他國家地區的支持者, 部分者更帶同國旗及標語到場支持, 當中以菲律賓小姐最多同鄉到場支持, 每當菲律賓小姐出場, 場內立即傳出歡呼聲不絕。 緊接着便是選美比賽最受歡迎的泳衣環節，佳麗穿上自選泳衣出場盡現玲瓏身段。 這環節始終都以較為開放的歐美佳麗表現較佳, 毫不怯場。

泳裝出場後, 63位佳麗便以自選晚裝出場向司儀講出各人的環保理念。

3個環節後, 63位佳麗只有12位可以繼續比賽。由司儀按入選佳麗所屬國家或地區英文名稱首個字母順序宣讀12位將可以繼續比賽佳麗姓名。 賽前大熱的西班牙及日本佳麗, 成功晉身準決賽。澳門小姐呂蓉茵初賽已被淘汰出12強, 但賽後表示十分高興今次能代表澳門參與國際選美盛事。

進入準決賽12位佳麗隨即逐個上台表演跳舞, 其餘落選的五十一位佳麗佳麗則成為陪舞。

其後12位佳麗身穿中國旗袍出場, 講出當選後的抱負。

最後由西班牙小姐安德露(Alejandra Andreu)大熱勝出, 安德露指, 自己的談吐及眼神及步姿最令人滿意。 今後將承諾會以國際小姐身份履行國際小姐的責任, 親自到世界各地進行親善探訪活動及盡力幫助有需要的人, 希望自己燦爛微笑能讓大衆感受愛。 她表示當宣佈自己當選一刻, 感到相當興奮及難以置信。 安德露表示自己盡了力參加比賽，仍在求學的她當選後會繼續學業。

國際小姐選美盛事共設有九個賽項, 前5名佳麗均是學生。

The 48th Miss International Beauty Pageant, will be held at the Venetian Macau Resort Hotel on November 8, 2008. A total of 63 contestants from different countries gathered together at the venue to meet the press on 28th Oct. Priscila Perales from Mexico will crown her successor during the night.

Miss International beauty pageant is ranked top 3 among the international pageants. Last year contest was won by Miss Priscila Perales from Mexico.

63位候選佳麗10月28日出席記者會, 佳麗身穿代表地區的民族服出場讓傳媒拍照。 去年的國際小姐冠軍墨西哥小姐也有出席記者會。

「國際小姐」候選佳麗澳門遊, 行程包括到著名大三巴拍照及到澳門扶康寶翠中心探訪智障人士。 佳麗先後到大三巴牌坊、玫瑰堂、議事亭前地、民政總署大樓等世遺景點參觀。 佳麗路經手信街更有店員請佳麗們試吃牛肉乾。 之後一行人再往主教堂及媽閣廟參觀。

候選佳麗10月30日也到來香港進行一日遊, 部分候選佳麗參觀香港金紫荊廣場和旅遊景點。

一個名為「The Beauty of Green」研討會於11月2日假澳門威尼斯人酒店舉行, 63位候選佳麗發表自己對環境污染之感想及保護環境之意見。

63位候選佳麗11月3日出席世界名廚甄文達的烹飪活動, 活動更即時抽出8位佳麗跟甄文達學習廚藝。 大會安排8位佳麗做一些輕易的工作，如切菜及切芒果等。

佳麗11月7日進行最後綵排, 並首次以泳裝亮相。 大部分佳麗以三點式示人, 只有少數幾位穿上連身泳衣, 有些更披上圍巾示人。

"澳門威尼斯人第48屆國際小姐選美大賽”11月8日晚6時半假澳門威尼斯人渡假村酒店金光綜藝館舉行。 大會司儀由曾志偉、鄭裕玲及陳芷菁攜手擔任, 表演嘉賓包括：歌星李克勤、陳慧嫻、楊千嬅、韓國組合YES及著名武術動作演員吳京。

大會將在決賽當天, 公布前15名選手。 他們將進行一道間答題, 再由評審選出2008年度國際小姐冠軍, 亞軍, 季軍, 第四名和第五名。 大會也會選出親善小姐, 最上鏡小姐, 最佳民族服裝獎和最完美肌膚獎九項殊榮。

第48届國際小姐選美大賽經過民族服裝, 泳裝及晚裝等環節後, 已經選出12強佳麗角逐冠亞季軍。 10號中國佳麗劉暢文成功入選12強, 但澳門佳麗12止步。
