Cirque du Soleil unveiled "Zaia" at Macau Venetian 澳門公演太陽劇團表演 ZAIA (澳门公演太阳剧团表演 ZAIA)

Cirque du Soleil unveiled its first permanent, high-quality artistic entertainment show in Asia at the Venetian Macau. The show will be presented in a 1,800 seat theatre at the Venetian Macau-Hotel-Resort. It will hold its Gala Celebration on August 28, 2008 to coincide with the 1st Anniversary of Venetian Macau.

The 90-minute show "Zaia" – from a Greek word meaning ‘life’, features about a young girl's space journey, she encounters the beauty of humanity and share with the inhabitants of earth. Each production fuses innovative acrobatics, theatre, dance and music with spectacular costumes, lighting and make-up.

Preview performances will begin on July 26, 2008. There will be no shows on Monday and Tuesday until the regular performances will begin on August 29, 2008 which will run Tuesday through Sunday.

Cirque du Soleil also plans to add a second show at the Four Seasons Macao in 2009.

ZAIA於2008年8月30日開始，每逢星期二至星期日為觀眾演出。 星期二及三的表演時間為晚上8時正, 星期四至星期六為晚上7時正及10時正, 星期日為下午4時正及晚上7時正舉行, 星期一不設任何演出。

太陽劇團的演出結合雜耍、舞台表演、舞蹈、音樂、華衣麗服、燈光效果及化妝。

ZAIA「生命」故事講述一位少女夢遊太空旅程令她重新發現世界的真諦, 當少女遊太空時遇到人性的善與美, 並把它帶回地球，與人分享。 預演將於2008年7月26日至2008年8月27日（星期一及二除外）開始在澳門威尼斯人度假村酒店內擁有1,800個座位的劇場演出, 表演將於2008年8月29日正式開放公眾。

太陽劇團一共投資超過1.5億美元在演出製作及興建劇場, 劇團來自40 多個國家的4,000多位員工, 當中包括1,000 位為表演者。
