World Tourism Day and International Fireworks Display Contest


The 20th International Fireworks Display Contest will be held from 13 September till 1 October at Sai Van Lake (sea area in front of the Macau Tower) again. This year event is organized by the Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO) and Wynn Macau will again be the title sponsor.

Ten teams from around the world will compete in the 20th Macau International Fireworks Display Contest and the competition is scheduled on the night of September 13, 14(Mid Autumn Festival), 20, 27 and October 1(China’s National Day). Two teams will compete each night, one at 9pm and the second at 10pm. Each participating team is requested to complement their display with music again this year.

This year contest will feature ten teams from Germany, Korea, Japan(won two consecutive years in the Fireworks Display Contest in 2004 and 2005), the United Kingdom, Portugal, Chinese Taiwan, the Philippines, France, Australia and China. The Japanese team this year will employ their latest techniques in producing fireworks.

The cash prize for this year firework winner has increased from US$6,000 to US$8,000, while prizes to the first runners up have increased from US$3,200 to US$4,000 and from US$1,800 to US$2,500 respectively for the second runner up.

一年一度的國際煙花比賽匯演 - “永利澳門 - 第二十屆澳門國際煙花比賽匯演” 將於9月13日、14日(中秋節)、20日、27日及10月1日(國慶日), 在澳門旅遊塔對開海面舉行, 永利澳門今年將繼續成為國際煙花比賽匯演的冠名贊助商。 今年邀得十個國家及地區的隊伍參賽, 參賽十支隊伍分別來自德國、韓國、日本、英國、葡萄牙、台灣、菲律賓、法國、澳洲和中國, 比賽仍然要求參賽隊伍在每場比賽配上音樂, 極盡視聽娛樂演出。

數支曾奪澳門國際煙花比賽匯演冠軍的煙花隊伍, 今年將重臨澳門, 包括曾於2004年及2005年兩奪冠軍, 一直利用最新科技研制煙火的日本隊(日本球屋北原煙火店), 曾奪冠軍的葡國隊, 澳洲隊及自八十年代開始在法國演出無數, 結合多媒體表演的法國隊(Brezac煙火)。

今年煙花比賽匯演冠軍隊伍獎金將由$6000美元增加至$8000美元，亞軍和季軍的獎金分別由$3200美元增至$4000美元和由$1800美元增至$2500百美元。

今年煙花攝影比賽及學生繪畫比賽將會繼續舉辦, "永利澳門 - 第二十屆澳門國際煙花比賽匯演攝影比賽" 和 "永利澳門 - 第二十屆澳門國際煙花比賽匯演學生繪畫比賽", 稍後接受報名。
