Bank of China (Macau) issues new Pataca notes 中國銀行澳門分行發行新版澳門元鈔票 (中国银行澳门分行发行新版澳门元钞票)

A ceremony was held to commemorate the issuance of the new Pataca notes by Bank of China (Macau) limited. The new notes issuance have adopte the Macau UNESCO cultural heritage, with a mixture of the East and West as the main theme.

MOP$10 note has the image of the A-Ma Temple
MOP$20 note has the image of ruins of the St. Paul's
MOP$50 note has the image of the Dom Pedro V Theatre
MOP$100 note has the image of Guia Fortress
MOP$500 note has the image of the Mandarin's House
MOP$1000 note has the image of the “Leal Senado” Building

Bank of China has been authorised to issue Pataca notes since 1995. The bank has issued Pataca notes four times since then. Upon the request of the Monetary Authority of Macau, the MOP$10 note was modified and reprinted in 2003 and 2005.

中國銀行澳門元新版鈔票1月5日舉行發行儀式主禮。 2008年澳門元新版鈔票以澳門世界文化遺產為主題, 採用澳門中國銀行大廈為主景圖案, 襯景選取澳門4座大橋形象, 體現澳門中西文化融合的特點。

中國銀行澳門分行自1995年起獲授權發行澳門元鈔票。 過去13年中銀澳門分行先後4次發行鈔票。 在2003年和2005年應金管局要求, 重印了十元及其它面額的鈔票。 新版鈔票6種面值將於1月6日起至春節前陸續投放市場。
