Finnish National Ballet Performs 'The Seagull' 芬蘭國家芭蕾舞團《海鷗》 (芬兰国家芭蕾舞团《海鸥》)

The Finnish National Ballet (FNB) first stepped into the international limelight in 1922. The Ballet regularly performing in the United States, South America, Europe and Asia. The FNB will presents 'The Seagull' in Macau for the first time by dance master John Neumeier.

Deriving its name from the title of a novel by the gifted Russian Writer Anton Chekhov, John Neumeier has translated this great literature into superb balletwas and was acclaimed by Dance Magazine as 'one of the most interesting choreographers working today'.

偉大俄羅斯戲劇家契訶夫（Chekhov）憑《海鷗》一劇奠定其於戲劇史上的聲譽。 劇中每個人物都栩栩如生, 訴說著生活中憂傷而說不出的痛苦。 《海鷗》過去百年間以不同形式搬演過無數次, 歷久不衰。 知名舞蹈大師, 當今世界頂級編舞家約翰‧紐邁亞（John Neumeier）於2002年將《海鷗》改編成同名芭蕾舞劇, 將契訶夫文字背後的情感轉化為舞蹈。 約翰‧紐邁亞（John Neumeier）擅長在芭蕾舞作品中加入戲劇效果, 更被《美國舞蹈雜誌》評為「當今舞蹈界最受矚目的編舞家之一」。

約翰·紐邁亞（John Neumeier）善於編排叙事性的舞蹈作品, 將不少世界名著改編為芭蕾舞劇搬上舞台如《茶花女》、《奧賽羅》、《哈姆雷特》、《仲夏夜之夢》、《皮爾金》等。

《海鷗》最令人難忘之處是, 一隻隻紙海鷗貫穿全劇, 代表著命運、不幸與為自由付出的代價, 熾烈情感震撼人心。
