The 2009 Supermodel of the World Contest (China Region) will be held in Macau this coming May. A total of 42 contestants will participate in this contest and the winners will take part in the finals representing China region.

Supermodel of the World is the biggest modeling contest in the world. Established by Eileen Ford in 1980, it searches the pre-eminent female model in over 50 countries to find fashion's newest faces year after year.

第20屆世界超級模特環球大賽 - 2009中國總決賽定於5月在澳門舉行, 經過3個月的篩選和培訓, 屆時將有來自全國不多於42名模特代表所在省市參加全國總決賽, 角逐中國美皇后桂冠和“中國十大超模”稱號。 奪冠的模特兒將代表中國參加在11月舉行的世界超級模特環球大賽。 42名模特將於5月4日至8日來澳門參加一連5天的外景拍攝和大型頒獎晚會, 並角逐中國美皇后桂冠和“中國十大超模”稱號。

世界超級模特環球大賽是由世界模特組織機構創辦, 是全球最具專業和權威的世界級模特賽事之一。 大賽自2005年落地中國以來先後在廣東、江西、四川、湖北、香港及澳門等地成功舉辦。

今年大賽舉辦地有5個旅遊城市申辦, 經過多次會議權衡, 第20屆世界超級模特環球大賽中國總決賽選擇在澳門舉行, 希望藉此提升澳門歷史文化遺産名城在國際的知名度。 主辦單位將舉辦慈善會募集善款捐給四川災區同胞作重建家園之用。
