Macau Dragon offer ferry service between Hong Kong and Macau first half of 2009 巨龍船務有信心上半年開航 (巨龙船务有信心上半年开航)

A new start-up ferry company - Macau Dragon Company Limited, a subsidiary of Giant Dragon Sea Transportation Company will be offering services between the Hong Kong Macau Ferry Terminal in the first half of 2009. There was no indication of commencement date.

The Macau Dragon fleet consists of 4 vessels, one of the vessel has already arrived in Hong Kong. Each of the vessels can accommodate up to 1,200 passengers. It will be operate the same route as the CotaiJet service from HK Macau Ferry Terminal on Hong Kong Island to Pac On Temporary Pier on the Cotai Strip in Macau.


巨龍船務股份有限公司透露已全部完成香港的審批程序, 有信心2009年上半年開航。 但沒有具體時間表。 正等候澳門政府最後審批。 澳門港務局稱特區政府會審慎審批巨龍航線, 隨著社會變化及經濟高速發展, 未來海上客運航線的審批會從公衆安全角度考慮。 現階段不可能引入太多航線, 待2012年氹仔北安永久碼頭落成啟用後便能容納更多航線。

巨龍表示雖然遇上金融海嘯, 仍對港澳海上客運市場有信心, 因此希望可以盡快開航帶動澳門的經濟發展。 目前巨龍已購入4艘, 載客量為1200人的客船經營港澳航線, 其中一艘已運抵香港。
