The Macau Grand Prix is one of the most prestigious and competitive motor racing events in the world today - combining competitions for Formula 3, FIA World Touring Cars and 1000cc motorcycles all at one event.

Stuart Easton set the fastest ever lap of the 3.8-mile Macau circuit, to set provisional pole position for Saturday’s 15-lap Macau Grand Prix. The Hydrex IGT Honda ace set a time of 2m25.476s, ended the first qualifying session a whopping 1.636s ahead of Michael Rutter.

第56屆澳門格蘭披治大賽車于19日拉開戰幕。 本屆大賽車比賽295名選手來自歐洲、南美、亞洲等37個國家和地區。 本屆澳門格蘭披治大賽車有8項賽事, 其中包括3項大賽 - 即三級方程式、世界房車賽、格蘭披治電單車賽。

11月19日為大賽車首日試賽, 賽道會於早上六時封閉。 7時半首先上演格蘭披治電單車大賽練習, 隨後陸續進行財神酒店澳門／香港埠際賽、路車挑戰賽、三級方程式、澳門電訊房車賽、FIA世界房車錦標賽、太平洋寶馬方程式等多項練習賽事。

澳門格蘭披治電單車大賽 - 六屆冠軍得主車手伊斯頓(Stuart Easton)刷新排位賽圈速紀錄, 在這項遠東經典大賽暫獲杆位。 伊斯頓來自蘇格蘭, 現年25歲, 他在排位賽跑出2分25.476秒, 圈速較排第二名的路達(Michael Rutter)快1.6秒。

澳門格蘭披治大賽車始辦于1954年, 當時只是一項為當地賽車愛好者而舉辦的業餘賽事。如今澳門格蘭披治大賽車已經成為世界頂級車手爭相參與的車壇盛事。
