Edo Japanese Restaurant bid for Giant Bluefin Tuna 江戶日本料理奪藍鰭吞拿魚 (江户日本料理夺蓝鳍吞拿鱼)

A mighty bluefin tuna - representing one of the world’s most expensive sashimi, has sold in Japan’s first auction of the year at the world's largest wholesale fish market - Tsukiji fish market in Tokyo. The fish market is known worldwide as the top place to buy fish.

The tuna auction was held at 5am, in a warehouse structure where flash frozen tuna are laid out on wooden palates for inspection and auction. About 100 wholesalers placed bids on these tuna.

The 168kg tuna, bought by one of the representative from Edo Japanese Restaurant in Macau, was priced for around MOP$400,000. Locals and guests can experience this tuna at any of the Edo Japanese Restaurants in Macau from 6th to 10th January. The big tuna was among 570 put up for auction Tuesday. About 40 percent of these auctioned fish came from abroad, including from Indonesia and Mexico.

Bluefin tuna is commercially cultivated off the Japanese coast. It is an important source of seafood, providing most of the tuna used in sushi. Japan is the largest consumer of Atlantic and Pacific Bluefins as they eat 80% of the fish caught.

日本青森縣築地漁市場1月5日早上進行一年一度新春開運 - 「日本一 青森縣大間鮪」拍賣, 澳門江戶日本料理(佳景集團屬下餐飲分店)成功以每公斤26000日元(約為澳門幣2300百元)投得重168公斤的「目標」魚王, 總成交價為約40萬澳門元的藍鰭吞拿魚。 市民1月6日起至1月10日即可於全線江戶日本料理一嘗入口即溶的極品藍鰭吞拿魚。

極品藍鰭吞拿魚魚肉質一致被當地漁販評定為全場最高質素的一條, 肉質肥美且顏色深紅味濃, 嚥下後味道更停留於口中。 藍鰭吞拿魚是日本國寶級美食, 專家預計藍鰭吞拿魚將在三年後絕種。

築地漁市場每年舉行“日本一”競投活動, 寓意全年好運的「日本一」藍鰭吞拿魚王的競投按照傳統, 於築地漁市場的首個交易日內進行。 今年共有逾50條大藍鰭吞拿魚即場拍賣, 其中有5條超過300公斤。 澳門今年首次有集團參與。 江戶日本料理(佳景集團屬下餐飲分店)代表昨日凌晨在築地漁市場的“心臟地帶”吞拿魚拍賣處視察環境, 為首次競投準備。 當地時間清晨五時拍賣開始, 拍賣官以極速獨特語言拍賣, 僅以獨特手勢“搶魚”。 快者於幾秒內成交, 慢者亦不過一、兩分鐘, 令現場更為熱鬧及緊張。

澳門江戶日本料理代表與當地10名商販爭奪重達168公斤的優質藍鰭吞拿魚, 經數十秒激烈角逐最終以約40萬澳門元成交, 為澳門飲食業界在日本寫下歷史性的一頁。 江戶日本料理希望透過是次競投的參與, 能加深日本對澳門的認識, 而明年亦將會考慮再度出擊, 將好運帶返澳門予每位市民。

江戶日本料理創於1992年, 為澳門最具悠久歷史的高級日本料理餐廳。 現有四間分店分別設於多家澳門知名及享譽國際的頂級娛樂場酒店內, 包括:澳門葡京酒店、澳門威尼斯人店、澳門新濠天地店及澳門蘭桂坊酒店。 餐廳於2010年將會再開設兩間分店。
