The Michelin Guide gave top honors again to the Galera a Robuchon in Macau, located at the Lisboa Hotel and Casino in the guide’s 2010 edition. The restaurant was awarded the top-ranked three Michelin stars, run by celebrated French chef Joel Robuchon. Three stars indicate "exceptional cuisine, worth a special journey"

The edition reviewed 53 restaurants in Macau. Among the new inclusions in Macau are the Lei Garden at the Venetian Macau Resort, Wing Lei at Wynn's Macau Hotel and Casino. Tung Yee Heen at Grand Lapa Hotel, Lei Garden at the Venetian, Jade Garden at StarWorld Hotel and Casino, and the Aurora at Altira Macau.

This summer, Chef Joël Robuchon will personally present his latest creations at his famous three-Michelin-star restaurant 'Robuchon a Galera', located at the landmark Lisboa Tower in Macau.

Joël Robuchon himself visited Macau recently in June to supervise the creation of the new seafood menu of modern French dishes. He was elected by the Gault-Millau Restaurant Guide as the "Chef of the Century" in 1990, and is now supervising restaurants all over the world as in Monaco, Tokyo, Macao, Las Vegas, New York, London and Hong Kong.

桃花源小廚澳門店的裝修較香港上環店的茶餐廳格局高級。 桃花源小廚老闆兼總廚黎有甜, 於2000年在香港創辦上環店。 黎師傅是當年江太史家家廚李才的徒弟, 師承廣州江太史家廚, 以烹調太史五蛇羹及精緻粵菜聞名。 黎師傅曾於2005年聖誕節, 2006 及 2007 年農曆新年期間被拉斯維加斯五星級酒店會所邀請為客席廚師, 為賭場VIP炮製名菜。 JP Morgan 亦曾於2006年暑假邀請黎師傅到新加坡及印尼為當地富商私人宴會。

French chef Joel Robuchon’s Macau restaurant - Robuchon a Galera, became the only one restaurant to secure a three star rating in Michelin Guide’s debut edition for Hong Kong and Macau.

Robuchon a Galera was opened in 2001. The restaurant is located at the Hotel Lisboa. Robuchon a Galera serves European cuisine. The tasting menu costs MOP$2,100. The restaurant has one of the Asia’s best cellars with more than 2,800 classic French, Italian, American, Australian and German wines. Only 72 restaurants worldwide hold three Michelin stars.

The Michelin guide for Hong Kong and Macau awarded six restaurants in the star ratings. One restaurant got two stars and four received one star each.

The Hong Kong/Macau Michelin Guide will release on the 5th Dec, the second launched by Michelin in Asia after the Tokyo guide's release in November 2007. A total of 49 restaurants are included in the guide.

Famous dishes include shark’s fin soup (either served with a clear soup or braised in brown sauce), braised whole king sized abalone, sauteed seasonal vegetables, fried rice, and bird’s nest soup with coconut milk.
