The Mall at Macau’s Studio City - a shopping center component of the US$2.5 billion Macao Studio City project, has revealed a confirmed list of 23 luxury brand tenants on the 27th August. Each of which has committed to opening flagship stores at "The Mall", which is destined to become Asia's most luxurious shopping center.
The 920,000 square foot (85,000 square meter) Mall at Studio City will boast about 140 stores from A. Lange & Sohne, Alfred Dunhill, Berluti, Bulgari, Bottega Veneta, Burberry, Cartier, Chopard, Christian Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Ermenegildo Zegna, Fendi, Franck Muller, Gucci, Miu Miu, Montblanc, Omega, Piaget, Prada, Roger Vivier, Tod's, Van Cleef and Arpels, Versace and other brands, in one of the biggest concentrations of high-end retailers strip, which scheduled to open in 2011.
"The Mall at Studio City will be the ultimate luxury shopping center in Asia. In one venue we have brought together all of the luxury brands in flagship formats only seen in the fashion high streets of Hong Kong, Paris, New York, Milan and Tokyo," said Morgan Parker, president, Taubman Asia.
The Macau Studio City will features theatre, retail, gaming, entertainment and world-class hotels (Ritz Carlton, Tangs Hotel and others) situated at Cotai Strip in Macau. The project is expect to complete in 2011.

Cyber One is selling 25% of Macau Project 豐德麗售澳門項目25% (丰德丽售澳门项目25%)
豐德麗集團持股60%的Cyber One擬向Taubman Asia Management Limited出售澳門星麗門項目一期零售部分之25%參股權益，代價為3.77億元，豐德麗料可獲利1.26億元。
澳門星麗門項目位於填海蓮花路G300、G310及G400地段，現在仍處於規劃階段，項目預期於今年開始施工。一期零售部分總建築面積約90.4萬平方呎，總可出租面積約為61.5萬平方呎。

A new Ritz-Carlton properties are under development in Cotai Strip within the area of Macau Studio City, which is scheduled for opening in 2009.
“We are very happy we will continue our relationship and open a new luxurious Ritz-Carlton in Macau Studio City,” said Ambrose Cheung, Co-CEO of Macau Studio City and Executive Director of Lai Sun Development Limited. This 256-room hotel will comprise of a number of facilities such as casino, entertainment, studio, retail, dining and nightlife when completed.

An announcement was made from Starwood Hotels Group about the construction of W Hotel within the Macau Studio City complex on the Cotai Strip. According to the hotel group annoucement, the hotel is expected to open in 2009 which features 563 guest rooms. As a result of this, it will provides an addition of 1,902 hotel rooms when all phases of Macau studio hotels completed. Facilities within the hotel included the world famous 'W' bed, the living room, W Cafe, and Gym room, a 11000 sq feat meeting room, an outdoor swimming pool and 'W' service.

ESun wins nod for Macau project 麗新嬴取澳門投資項目 (丽新嬴取澳门投资项目)
Media and satellite television operator eSun Holdings has go ahead of the $ 3 billion television city, hotel and residential project in Macau. Executive director Mark Lee Po-on said after the company’s annual general meeting that the firm would consider raising money by enlarging its share capital, seeking bank loans and looking for strategic investors to fund the project - Macau Studio City.
Mr Lee said the project, first floated in 2001, would comprise buildings with a total gross floor area of 3.7 million square feet on a 1.5 million sqft site in Cotai.
Two four to five-star hotels, an all-suite hotel with a gross floor area of about one million sqft, a television studio, concert hall, convention and exhibition centre and retail complex will be built within the area of Macau Studio City while 13 per cent of the site will be reserved for community use.
Mr Lee said the all-suite hotel could be rented out for long-term use and the project would probably cost about $ 3 billion. The land premium is $ 100 per square foot and construction costs are between $ 1,000 to $ 1,200 per square foot.
He said the hotels would include at least one casino covering at least 100,000 sqft.
The Macau government has granted conditional approval for the project years ago and the company subject to make a formal application for the change in land use.
The development would involve at least two phases, the first being due for completion in three years which is now currently under construction.
“Building a casino in a hotel in Macau is like building a swimming pool in a hotel . It’s a must now,” Mr Lee said. He said the firm had not yet decided whether to run the casino or lease out the facility.
Lai Fung Holdings, eSun’s sister company, would take part in the building of the residential project within the complex.
Playboy eyes on Macau 花花公子澳門項目 (花花公子澳门项目)
Playboy Enterprises has set to build its casino within the Macau Studio City Complex. According to Christie Hefner, the firm’s chairwoman and chief executive - and daughter of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner - told analysts the company is going to develop Playboy casinos in Macau and London, “the two markets that have the most inherent interest to us,” according to a recording of her comments. “These are very large deals,” she said.
She told an interviewer later that “we’re doing a half-dozen big facilities in places like London and Macau.”
Playboy Enterprises currently has no casinos, but a Playboy complex with a casino, nightclub, store, lounge is set to open soon at Macau Studio City. “Macau would be phenomenal market for them to open a casino in,” said Robert Routh, a media analyst who follows Playboy for brokerage Jeffries & Co in New York. Playboy’s interest in Macau is fueled by the boom in Chinese tourist traffic and bring the company desire to get in on the bonanza.
Gaming analyst David Leibowitz of Burnham Securities in New York, who recently traveled to Macau, agreed. “The potential for reward appears to be quite large. Macau today is as fine a venue for gaming as exists.”
The Playboy Mansion at Cotai Strip will be a 40,000 square-foot entertainment destination that will include a Hugh M. Hefner Villa for overnight stays.
