Italian Truffle Fetches US$250000 at Macau Auction 澳門新葡京酒店意大利白松露菌國際慈善拍賣及晚會 (澳门新葡京酒店意大利白松露菌国际慈善拍卖及晚会)

A 1.15kg white truffle found in the Italian countryside was sold at a charity auction at Grand Lisboa Macau on the 12nd December. The auction was held simultaneously in Macau, London, Moscow and Rome.

The prized tuber went for the third year running to billionaire Stanley Ho, who made the winning bid for the 1.150 kilogram truffle during an auction, the biggest found in Italy this year. Proceeds from the auction were donated to charities in Macau.

Ho bought a 1.5kg specimen in 2007 — one of the biggest truffles unearthed in half a century for a record US$330,000, discovered by Mr. Luciano Savini, his son Cristiano and their dog Rocco.

拍賣會在12月12日晚上10時舉行, 透過人造衛星，在澳門、倫敦、莫斯科和羅馬四地同步進行。 四地合共有十六組意大利白松露菌進行慈善拍賣, 其中五組在澳門進行拍賣。 當中包括港澳名人、各國領事、接受捐款的慈善團體代表。 結果重達八百克的「○九菌王」以破紀錄的25萬元成交價賣出。

拍賣共分五組白松露菌進行拍賣。 昨晚拍賣的焦點是在會上展出的兩顆共重1150克的白松露菌, 當中最矚目的是本年度體積最大的800克白松露菌、出產於意大利的莫利賽, 另一顆三百五十克的則出產於意大利的拓斯卡納。 每口叫價1萬美元。 澳門博彩有限公司與羅馬代表一度爭持不下。 最後澳博擊敗對手, 終以破紀錄25萬美金投得全場最大的白松露菌。 而晚宴競投所得合共31.86萬美元將全數捐贈澳門慈善團體。 白松露菌將在開幕的海立方娛樂場晚宴時用來款待到賀嘉賓。

Dermot Blain from Ireland wins the Asia Pacific Poker Tour in Macau 第三季「Poker Stars.net亞太撲克巡迴賽」澳門站賽事愛爾蘭青年奪冠 (第三季「Poker Stars.net亚太撲克巡迴赛」澳门站赛事爱尔兰青年夺冠)

A 25-year old ex-sales manager from Ireland - Dermot Blain has won over half a million US dollars (US $541,081 approximately) with a championship trophy, after winning the PokerStars.net Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) Season 3 Main Event in Macau. He defeated a field of 429 poker players to claim the top prize in a tournament that lasted a grueling six days. This is the first time he claimed the major poker tournament title.

Blain took his seat at the final table as an underdog in 7th place with just 507,000 in chips. Heads up play between Blain and Mike Kim then lasted only four hands, with Blain once again holding a King kicker with Kd-Th going against Kim’s Td-9s on an all-in call.

The runner-up Mike Kim takes home US $385,006 approximately, and the third place went to Daoxing Chen.

The third edition of Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) will take place at the Macau Poker Room, the room which receives a recurring tournament - the Macau Poker Cup, saw a participation of more than 900 poker players. PokerStars Macau opens at Grand Lisboa 新葡京撲克廳開幕 (新葡京扑克厅开幕)

PokerStars hosted a grand opening of PokerStars Macau at Grand Lisboa on the 19th March. The room on the second floor of the famous Grand Lisboa hotel in Macau will be the biggest poker room in Asia. PokerStars Macau will hold 22 tables for tourney action and 24-hour cash games.

PokerStars Macau will also host the largest regular weekly poker tournaments in Asia, the premiere "Macau Poker Cup" series every other month, and the annual Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) Macau Poker Festival.

The opening on the weekend of 19-22 March will celebrate the return of the "Macau Poker Cup" and its signature HKD 10,000 buy-in "Red Dragon" event. For the first time ever, the Red Dragon will have a guaranteed minimum prize pool of HKD 500,000. Numerous other events will be held during the Macau Poker Cup, including a HKD 1,000 buy-in charity event the proceeds of which will be donated to Caritas Macau.

This year, Macau celebrated the New Year with fireworks and many outdoor celebrations all throughout the city.

New Year's Eve countdown celebrations were held at the Macau Tower square, Taipa House Museum, Fisherman's Wharf, Grand Lisboa Hotel Piazza, Ponte 16 and most of the bars and restaurants around Macau.

Singers and artists appearances from Macau and Hong Kong include 草蜢樂隊 from Hong Kong, local band 'Soler' and a number of local artists were performed at the Macau Tower Sqwuare, which attracted nearly 40,000 locals and tourists attended the event. People gathered and cheered as the countdown began and firework displays at midnight marked the arrival of the new year.

At Taipa House Museum, the event 'Taipa New Year's Eve countdown party - harmony and joy' were celebrated with a variety of local and Hong Kong artists performing on the stage, and also with a number of other traditional performances.

Amongst the new year's activities, the Grand Lisboa Piazza started its celebrations with performances and shows. Before the midnight, the grand ball at the lower part of the Grand Lisboa Hotel, the “starphere” displaying the countdown seconds to 2008. Thousands of people gathered at the Grand Lisboa Piazza to join the party and watch Hong Kong celebrities William So, Kary Ng and Yumiko Cheng.

Hong Kong artists Khalil Fong and Fiona Sit, and a number of local artists were invited by the organizer from Macau Fisherman's Wharf this year to perform in the countdown event.

Ponte 16 hosted their first time countdown event this year, and attracted over 2000 people attended to celebrate the coming new year of 2009.

在氹仔，昨晚9時半起龍環葡韻圓形劇場舉行的“氹仔除夕倒數晚會——和諧歡樂大派對”節目豐富, 節目包括各國傳統表演, 童星馮正堯表演, 還有澳門歌手周佩英, 龍世傑, 蘇耀光, 倪力, 香港歌手肥媽獻唱多首經典流行曲。 接近2009年一刻表演者與在場觀衆齊聲倒數共迎新年。

新葡京酒店對出空地外, 香港歌手蘇永康, 吳雨霏及鄭希怡為在場人士等獻藝, 歌手更與台下觀衆大玩遊戲。 為活動增添不少氣氛。

在漁人碼頭, 主辦機構邀請香港歌星方大同, 薛凱琪, 聯同澳門手及舞蹈團體參與“除夕倒數派對”迎接新的一年。

今次是16浦首次加入除夕倒數活動, 在內港16浦門外舉行的“十六浦·最好的澳門·內港除夕倒數晚會”, 香港歌手周柏豪, 陳柏宇, 黃伊汶, 葉文輝, 董敏莉, 澳門土風舞團及澳門貓王Rudy Souza等同台獻藝。 表演者與在場二千多觀衆一同迎接2009年的來臨。

The night before new year is full of celebrations in Macau. A large-scale New Year's Eve countdown and concert will be held at the Macau Tower square, Leal Senado Square and various locations around Macau. New Year Eve is celebrated with parties and social gatherings at the bars and restaurants.

On December 31st from 9pm to 12:15 am, the Macau Countdown Carnival will be held in front of the Macau Tower Convention & Entertainment Centre. Singers and artists appearances from Macau and Hong Kong include 草蜢樂隊 from Hong Kong, local band 'Soler' and a number of local artists will perform on the night. An estimate of over 30,000 people will be participate in this event.

為了迎接新一年的來臨, “澳門除夕倒數夜——飛躍○九大派對”, 將於12月31日晚上9時起至凌晨在西灣湖廣場舉行。 大除夕夜節目非常豐富, 晚會將由香港草蜢樂隊, 本澳歌手Soler及多名本澳歌手送上連場勁歌熱舞, 與居民一起狂歡共舞迎新的一年。 派對預計有三萬至四萬人參與。

The Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, S.A. (SJM) celebrated for the opening of its newest deluxe five star establishment flagship hotel - the Grand Lisboa Hotel on 17th December. The total construction cost of the hotel, including the casino and the garage worth about MOP$7 billion. Moreover, the Grand Lisboa hotel is the only complex in the world housing 3 Michelin starred restaurants under one roof.

The managing director of SJM - Stanley Ho said at his opening speech that “the official opening of Grand Lisboa completes this ambitious achievement - the Grand Lisboa Hotel and Casino.”

The hotel comprise a total of 431 rooms, with interior decoration of each of the rooms costing up to MOP$10 million. Prices of the hotel rooms ranging from MOP$1,600 to MOP$1,800 per night during the weekdays, and MOP$2,000 to MOP$2,200 during Friday and the weekend. The company was expecting to reach around 70 to 80 percent in terms of the occupancy rate.

SJM also holding an exhibition titled, “Splendid China and Blooming Beijing,” apart from the opening ceremony from 17th Dec to 19th Dec. The exhibition showcases Chinese antiques and pieces of art include “The World of Bears” in jade, mammoth tusk carving of the “Monkey King,” the “Singing Bird” clock and the “Tiangong Cifu” clock from the Qing Dynasty.

A 1.08kg white truffle found in Frosolone, near Isernia in Molise (Central Italian Region) was displayed in Rome, Italy on November 25. The truffle will be sold during a satellite linked charity auction on 29th November in Macau.

Casino mogul, billionaire Stanley Ho paid a record of US$330,000 last year for a giant white truffle (weight 3.3 pounds) dug up in Tuscany, Italy during an auction staged simultaneously in Florence, London and at Grand Lisboa hotel in Macau.

During the Christie's charity auction held at a Rome hotel which satellite linked to other venues in London, Abu Dhabi and Macau, Casino mogul Stanley Ho made the bid of $200000 US dollars (MOP $1.6m) for the biggest truffle found in 2008. This truffle was found in the Italian region of Molise on Nov 21.

The tuber went for the second year running to Ho.

11月29日舉行在新葡京酒店舉行的環球白松露菌拍賣會, 今年的白松露菌王較去年的小。 競投主要由何鴻燊及阿布達比間爭持, 經過逾十五口叫價後, 賭王何鴻燊連續第二年以20萬美元（160萬澳門元), 投得出重1.08公斤「世界松露王」。 白松露菌在澳門, 倫敦, 羅馬和阿布扎比四地透過衛星直播競投, 經過多口叫價最終由「賭王」何鴻燊以20萬美元（160萬澳門元）奪得。 平均每克價值1481元。

拍賣會上米芝蓮星級大廚Alfonso和Ernesto Iaccarino, 以及意大利餐廳當奧豐素1890的廚師, 為出席賓客精心準備白松露菌晚宴。 全場拍賣所得的款項將全數撥捐慈善機構, 包括澳門明愛、母親會、同善堂及澳門特殊奧運會等。

義大利, 倫敦, 迪拜及澳門四地亦同時舉行16份較小型的白松露菌拍賣, 澳門方面連同何鴻燊的「菌王」更投得8顆, 四地善款合共達234萬多澳門元。

SJM Holdings - owned by Stanley Ho is planning to spend MOP$21 billion developing casino projects in Macau over the next four years, including the redevelopment of the Lisboa Hotel Complex and the starting of a number of new casino projects.

SJM is bringing MOP$12 billion investment to redevelop the original Lisboa hotel site, with construction expected to take place from next year to 2012. L'Hermitage, a casino which target on richer clients, due to be completed in the third quarter of 2008. Another project called L'Arc (Le Royal Arc) casino locate inside a residential tower opposite the Lisboa - Le Royal Arch Tower, the casino will include a boutique members' club casino with 32 VIP gaming tables. It is expected to complete at the beginning of next year.

There are also plans for two developments on the Cotai strip, one to be completed in 2010 and the other to be finished in 2012. One of this development plan at Cotai Strip is the MOP$5.3 billion casino hotel called the Pearl which included entertainment, conventional center, hotel and service apartment all within inside the complex. The Pearl is located in a small 100,000 sq ft site across the street of Venetian Macau.

The original site of the New Yaohan Department Store will turn into a mass-market casino, the site was purposed for the development of Oceanus project previously. Further information will be realise soon.

This Saturday on the 1st Dec, Hong Kong and Macau's richest tycoons are expected to gather at an exclusive auction for a chance to snaffle one of the largest truffles ever discovered. The 1.5 kg giant white truffle will be sold via videolink to diners at Grand Lisboa casino in Macau.

The truffle was found in a wood near Pisa in Italy's Tuscany region on Friday. According to auction organiser Giselle Oberti, the truffle is expected to fetch more than 206,000 US dollars. "We hope to get the truffle blessed by the Pope before it flies out, but things need to move fast as white truffles should be eaten within 20 days," said Oberti according to Britain's Guardian newspaper.

全球最大重達1.5公斤的“白松露王”及另外15顆松露，將於12月1日週六在澳門新葡京拍賣。這超級白松露王估計成交價會達破紀錄的14萬英鎊。據悉澳門賭王何鴻燊當日會出天價競投。一年一度的松露慈善拍賣會將於週六晚在新葡京宴會廳、意大利佛羅倫斯及英國倫敦三地同時舉行，有衛星直播競投過程。

白松露王被獵人Cristiano Savini所養的狗Rocco在意大利比薩郊區發現，該單一白松露重達1.5公斤，打破1999年發現的另一顆1.31公斤的白松露世界紀錄。每年10月至12月是產期的白松露是最貴的食用菌類。
