Inspired by its award-winning namesake mezza9 Singapore at Grand Hyatt Singapore, mezza9 Macau offers nine different wining and dining experiences under one roof: Macanese; grill; sushi and sashimi; wok; delicatessen; steam basket; patisserie; bar and wine cellar.

Other than in the main restaurant, guests can also choose to dine on the outdoor terrace; in one of four semi-private, Japanese wood-lined booths; or in one of three 10- to 12-seater private rooms. The Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) & Muay Thai Grand Extreme is the first major-scale martial arts event offered by City of Dreams, which joined Kontact and I-1 Official in bringing this event to Macau was held at the Grand Ballroom, Grand Hyatt Macau at
City of Dreams on November 7, 2009. An excited crowd of spectators turned up to enjoy actions from four MMA matches, three Muay Thai Super Fights, three Muay Thai Asian Championship (4-man elimination tournament) and one K-1 Asian Championship.

Tum Mardsue of Thailand gave his best and defeated 1st runner-up Vuyisile Colossa to win the championship, earning the honor to participate in The King’s Cup Super-8 2009 in Thailand next month.

URCC Tournament- MMA, also known as mixed martial arts.is an all new type of sport that has become a favorite in many countries. The UFC - best-known as the Ultimate Fighting Championship - is the largest presenter for MMA and holds several fights for them every year with countless fighters. Even a few top fighters from boxing are trying MMA.

MMA combines the art of several distinct types of martial arts for fighters to utilize. In one fight you can have the power to see fighters utilizing wrestling, judo, muaythai, kickboxing, and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. The MMA combatants will struggle it out using techniques from these distinct forms of fighting inside the ring. The only way to win is to knock out the opponent, force them to tap out employing a submission, or to succeed by the decision of the judges.

City of Dreams and Hyatt Hotels & Resorts recently opened Grand Hyatt Macau to the public. This new hotel is focused on the leisure customer and business traveler.

Approaching Grand Hyatt Macau, guests are greeted by hotel hosts and guided into the vast lobby, with its staggering, six-storey, approximately 22-meter high ceiling. Water cascades over a giant stainless steel hemisphere, while above it, curved ribbons of stainless steel shower down from an illuminated cloud motif in the ceiling.

For guests, this eye-catching assemblage is just a taste of the aesthetic and spatial drama to follow. Strikingly high ceilings and an abundance of glass and natural daylight feature throughout the contemporary hotel, creating an exceptionally spacious, luxurious atmosphere.

Above the entrance area, the entire second level of the hotel is dedicated to event space. The colossal, pillar-less Grand Ballroom with its approximately eight-meter high ceiling, can accommodate approximately 2,500 people in a theater style and approximately 1,500 people for a banquet style. The Grand Ballroom can also easily divide into four soundproof sections, each with individual control rooms.

Next door, Salão do Teatro is equally impressive. Translating as „show theater‟ in Portuguese, Salão do Teatro is the first event space of its kind, featuring an open show kitchen capable of accommodating up to 50 chefs at a time, and is the only ballroom in Macau blessed that offers natural daylight.

For more informal events, the Pool Deck on Level 3 is an ideal alfresco location and one of the largest outdoor events venues in Macau. Centered around an approximately 40-meter aqua green-tiled swimming pool, the Pool Deck features a stylish water lounge that submerges loungers in shallow water, eight private VIP cabanas and expansive landscaped gardens that can cater a barbecue for up to 500 guests. Adjacent to the Pool Deck is Poolside, an additional outdoor dining area that can accommodate to up to 120 guests.

For its two main restaurants, Grand Hyatt Macau has been inspired by two award-winning eateries in its sister hotels. Beijing Kitchen on Level 1 replicates the highly successful format of Grand Hyatt Beijing‟s Made in China restaurant, and is one of the signature restaurants at City of Dreams. Open 24 hours, the 225-seat restaurant offers indoor and outdoor dining and specialises in authentic Northern Chinese fare.

Meanwhile, mezza9 Macau on Level 3, has been inspired by the famous mezza9 at Grand Hyatt Singapore and focuses on South-East Asian fare with an international influence. Created by the cutting edge Japanese interior design firm SuperPotato, the space is defined by giant roughly-hewn granite blocks creating counters and lining walls, as well as an array of lattice-patterned screens.

At the heart of the hotel is the Lobby Lounge, which comprises two separate components. Beneath the sweeping staircase, a 118-seat wine and champagne bar with live music and is the ideal gathering venue. Meanwhile, in the main lobby itself—highlighted by a striking cluster of burnt orange pendant lights—a coffee bar and patisserie specializes in traditional Portuguese egg tarts, as well as pastries, cakes and homemade chocolates.

Those who prefer to unwind at a more leisurely pace may prefer Isala Spa. Spread over approximately 25,000 square-foot (2,323 square meters), Isala Spa includes 15 treatment rooms and suites, six of which are designed for couples. Each spa suite includes a private bathroom and the majority feature natural daylight. Elsewhere in the spa, guests can indulge themselves in whirlpools, steam rooms and freeze showers. There is also a dedicated foot massage room overlooking private landscaped gardens.

舉辦較輕鬆的活動, 可選擇3樓的池畔帄臺。 該處是全澳門最大的戶外活動場地之一, 以一個約40米恆溫泳池為中心, 淺水區設有特色水中酒吧, 池邊為八間私人池畔小屋及戶外花園, 總共可容納約500位賓客。 旁邊的池畔, 可容納約120人的戶外餐飲區。

Dragone Entertainment - Theate of Dreams



Melco Crown Entertainment (MPEL) announced their flagship entertainment resort, a US$2.1 billion mega resort situated on the Cotai Strip - City of Dreams, scheduled to open in the first half of this year as planned.

The resort consist of 4 hotels, over 20 dining venues provide guests with regional and international dining experiences, a 2 level retail space, a theatre, stylish nightclubs, a giant silver dome, and a spacious casino with 550 gaming tables and 1,500 slot machines.

The Crown Towers Hotel and the Hard Rock Hotel will each offer approximately 300 guest rooms. Grand Hyatt Macau will offer approximately 800 guest rooms, which will be completed in the third quarter of 2009. and Dragone theatre production will open its 2000 seats "Theatre of Dreams" soon thereafter. The final phase of City of Dreams will feature an apartment hotel consisting of approximately 800 units.

“The opening of City of Dreams will deliver a totally new entertainment and leisure experience in Macau,” Mr. Ho said.

新濠天地今年內分兩階段啟用, 首階段開幕包括Crown Towers酒店, Hard Rock酒店 (酒店各提供約三百間客房), 天幕（The Bubble）地標, 新濠大道（第一期）, 中央部分420,000平方呎娛樂場及食肆。 並設兩層佔地約175,000平方呎包括時裝、美容、珠寶等零售店舖的購物中心。 娛樂場有約550張賭檯及約1,500台角子機。 第二階段暫訂下半年陸續啟用, 包括君悅酒店（Grand Hyatt）, 新濠大道（第二期）及Theate of Dreams劇院等, 最後階段包括提供約八百個單位服務式住宅酒店。

首階段開幕Crown Towers酒店以高級餐廳及酒吧為主, Hard Rock酒店是適合年輕人的搖滾風味。 此外，"新濠天地"亦設40,000平方呎的會議及宴會場地。 天幕（The Bubble）地標位於圓頂形綜合劇院中, 為遊客提供一個歷時10分鐘四維視覺效果。 度假村已敲定Dragone Entertainment駐場, Theate of Dreams劇院可容納兩千觀衆, Dragone Entertainment將進行以水為主題的亮點演出。 新濠天地將為澳門和亞洲制定休閒娛樂旅遊體驗的新標準。

Cotai Strip Construction Progress

Cotai Central Mall, a 800,000 sq ft shopping mall, housed directly beneath the Shangri-La/Traders and St Regis hotel.




The building on the left is the St. Regis Hotel. The right one is the Shangri-La and Traders Hotels (both hotel share the same building, the left part is the Traders hotel while the right part with the cladding one is the Shangri-La Hotel), its expected to open in September, 2009.




City of Dream, consist of 5 hotel towers (Crown Towers, Hard Rock Hotel, Grand Hyatt Hotel and Hyatt Regency Hotel) and a 500,000 sq ft shopping mall, the project was topped off on the 1st of April and is expected to completed by 2009. The circular building I guess is the Hard rock Hotel.
